Skip the Light Fantastic

Fabric woven with wool remnants on a cotton warp. The moon and sunbeams are a necklace I made with bugle beads and yellow citrine stones. The little rope skipper is one of several figures I made into pins of polymer clay.  The little bronze turtle was bought at a Greek store in Hyannis and the sun is a found object. The gold border fabric was one of my dad's bow ties (he didn't wear the kind with clips). The vertical borders are painted linen.  And the little wave is porcelain from a project I did ages ago.

All the separate components were from different projects that spanned several years (decades, in fact). It seemed like a nice time to bring them together.  19" x 13.25"
