I know some people think lithography is magical. The young man who first demonstrated this medium for me was very dramatic - showing how, after drawing on the stone with the crayon, the drawing was washed off and became invisible until he rolled the ink over the stone with a flourish and voilà! There it was! Problem was, the image never really disappeared from the stone, I could still see it. I think, because there was no transformation - the print looks exactly like the drawing, a perfect reproduction - the medium never caught my interest.
The print does reference my interest in masks and is kind of absurd, but there you go.
